This site highlights emerging technologies from Stardock and shows how corporate clients can benefit from these.
What games do games developers play when not working on their own games?

The team here at Stardock has been fortunate enough to have had the chance to play Rise of Nations, the real time strategy game developed by Big Huge Games for Microsoft, since the Beta release. Our marketing people worked with Microsoft to create a visual style for the game. The visual style was created by Essorant (Tim Dagger) to celebrate the game and is available for download exclusively from WinCustomize.

Special thanks to John Dongelmans of Microsoft.

Essorant,
Thanks for a superb skin . . . I really like your work and I use more of your skins than anyone else. Thanks for all you do!

I agree completely with mormegil. This skin cries out for a whole package, icons, cursors, ports for various apps. This skin is so professionally done, nothing less than one would expect from Essorant!

Question: This download is described as a "visual style." It is an executable (.exe) file. Is it a visual style (as in Microsoft's XP visual style), or a Windows Blinds file? If the latter, how does this executable file differ from the Window Blinds standard web-page file posting?
on Jul 06, 2003
The executible is for people that do not have WindowBlinds and will install the Rise of Nations style. For people that have WindowBlinds, just go to the WindowBlinds section.

Great skin as always, essorant!

I did make a cursor to compliment it called Spear. Hope you don't mind...
